Planning a Monitoring System for Effects of Iran’s Creative Industries

Abstract

Creative and cultural industries are one of the fastest growing sectors in the world. This sector will predictably play a greater role in the world economy in the coming years. The increasing growth of these industries, in addition to economic results, will have certain other effects and consequences which are much more important than economic results at enterprise level.  Some of the effects of creative industries include change of identity, change in the lifestyle, society's approach to national independence, etc. Hence, the ruling system should develop a mechanism to monitor the effect and consequences of creative industries.
This study paper presented a system compatible with the Iranian value system for monitoring the effects of creative industries through grounded theory and interview with elites as well as employing the standardized framework offered by the Cooperation and Development Organization. (CDO)
Three main categories, including the monitoring of poetical effects of creative industries, effects of creative industries on national development and identification effects of creative industries, as well as fifteen axial concepts under the three main concepts were identified. In the end, validation of the research findings were conducted through Delphi Fuzzy method.
