However, it seems that most of the studies applying Hofstede’s theory do not have enough knowledge of the dimensions, shortcomings, limitations, context and conditions for specific application and the critiques of this theory. Attempts have been made in this article to review Hofstede’s theory about cross-cultural studies and then compare it with the theory of Golab that is one of the well-known studies in the field of national culture. Finally, relying on the existing literature, the critiques of Hofstede’s theory are discussed. In the next step, this theory is reviewed in a more organized manner based on general, detailed, and utility criteria of the theory. The findings of the research show that the following criticisms are applicable to this theory: Lack of generalization, neglect of cultural dimensions, overlooking of sub-cultures, etc. مطالعات فرافرهنگی هافستد به‌عنوان یکی از پرکاربردترین نظریه‌ها و مطالعات در زمینه فرهنگ ملی شناخته شده است و تاکنون مقالات و پژوهش‌های متعددی براساس آن شکل گرفته‌اند. اما اکثر پژوهش‌هایی که از نظریه هافستد استفاده می‌کنند، از ابعاد، نقص‌ها، محدودیت‌ها، زمینه و شرایط به‌کارگیری خاص و انتقادات واردشده به این نظریه، شناخت کافی ندارند.<br />در این مقاله ابتدا به مرور نظریه هافستد در مورد مطالعات فرافرهنگی پرداخته خواهد شد، سپس این نظریه با مطالعه گلاب که یکی از تحقیقات شناخته‌شده در حوزه فرهنگ ملی است مقایسه می‌گردد. نهایتاً با استفاده از ادبیات موجود، انتقادات وارد به نظریه هافستد مورد بحث قرار می‌گیرد. سپس این نظریه به‌صورت ساخت‌یافته‌تر براساس معیارهای کلی، تفصیلی و مطلوبیت نظریه واکاوی می‌شود. مطابق نتایج تحقیق، انتقاداتی مانند عدم تعمیم‌پذیری، غفلت از ابعاد مختلف فرهنگی، نادیده گرفتن خرده‌فرهنگ‌ها و ... به این نظریه وارد است. http://www.jsfc.ir/article_119944_341060d62faaf2711d879ec802f84298.pdf
